Join us in a celebration of Latin culture! Veteran member of legendary salsa orchestra El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico Andy Montañez is pairing up with salsa musician Charlie Cruz for an evening of hits!
Andy Montañez was with El Gran Combo for 15 years producing 37 LPs, including famous hits like "Hojas Blancas," "Un Verano En N.Y.," "El Barbero Loco" and "Vagabundo," among others, until he left to join the Venezuelan group La Dimension Latina. In 2006, Montañez won his first Latin Grammy for Best Traditional Tropical Album and he has since produced successful collaborations like a duet with Puerto Rican singer Ivy Queen of his 1988 hit Casi Te Envidio and many more.
Charlie Cruz entered the salsa scene working as a vocalist in Domingo Quiñones’ orchestra and he entered the international stage in 1999 with his second album "Imaginate." Over the course of his career, Cruz shared the stage with such legends as Gilberto Santa Rosa, Victor Manuelle and Tito Nieves and, as a result, was signed by Sir George Records. Under this label, he produced such hits as "Bombon De Azucar" and "Amarte Es Un Problema." In 2020, Charlie Cruz’ "Tentaciones" was nominated for a Latin Grammy in the category Best Salsa Album and his songs like "La Vida da Vueltas" have been in the Top 10 on the tropical Billboard charts for over 21 weeks.
Together, Andy Montañez and Charlie Cruz will fill an evening of hits that want to make you jump on your feet and dance!
